Laura's Hen Weekend

Something a little bit different! Last weekend my mum and sister threw me an amazing Hen Party full of surprises, some of which I thought I would share for anyone looking for Hen Inspiration!
Friday night's surprise was a party bus and night out in Manchester along with my Mum and Godmother! On Saturday we had a group Fascinator Workshop with Laura and Judith from The Crafty Hen. My sister had even put together a playlist of Princess songs so we could whistle while we worked away at our creations! Because so many of my friends had never met before it was a great bonding activity for them to get to know each other! We will have to see if anyone wears their handmade fascinator at the wedding!
One of the biggest surprises was a visit from Rebecca from Animal Magic Entertainment who brought with her Sunny the Meercat, Skittle the Cameleon, Sugargliders, Snakes, Owls and all sorts of cute critters! It was wonderful experience to actually handle the animals, sadly a lot of them have been rescued as mistreated exotic pets so it was nice to learn about their stories and individual personalities. I think my favourite had to be Skittle the Cameleon as his colours were spectacular and he would climb all over you!
My favourite thing about parties is definitely party games! One game we played was a quiz with questions I had to answer all about my fiance. Questions like what is his favourite movie, favourite colour, worst habit then obscure ones like what was the name of his first pet rabbit! If I got a question wrong the penalty was a temporary tattoo of his face stuck on my body! I got 8 questions wrong! It's taken me over a week to wash them off so they are really good quality! There were quite a few tattoos left over so I have given them to Andrew's Best Man to use at his Stag Do this weekend! Shhh!
I love horse-riding and on Sunday my sister arranged for us to go on a hack. I was extremely impressed with Cannock Chase Trekking Centre. The staff were so so nice and welcomed us with a video message for our group, I was given a veil, tiara, rosette, sash and garter to wear on the ride which I thought was great fun! Considering it was a large group of 30 riders going out altogether it was extremely relaxed, friendly and it catered for all abilities and we were so lucky with the weather! Once out in the open the more experienced riders could have a canter and a photographer called Tim from Firefoot Photography was there taking photos with the option for you to purchase any after the ride which was a nice touch. The horses of course were perfect! Mine was called Atlantis, he certainly made me feel like a Princess.
Taking inspiration from an earlier Party Bag blog post (click here to read!) I also wanted my hens to have a little goodie bag to take home. My sister had ordered tiny bathbombs, minature soaps and stickers and we added a polaroid photo together with each of my hens as a little thank you!
